About Me…
My name is Sarah, but I like to go by Huss. My pronouns are they/them. I’m a queer nonbinary photographer based in Sacramento, Ca.
This is typical me…Not wanting to show my face to the camera. Being the one behind the camera is a smart career choice then, huh? I started to take my interest for photography seriously in 2018 when I officially decided to make photography my vocation. After graduating from UC Davis with a B.A. in English, I took time off to work different jobs and figure out what I truly wanted to do.
My love for people, stories, places, and art has brought me here. I am currently attending Sacramento City College to obtain my A.A. in Photography with a heavy interest in Portrait as well as Lifestyle & Travel Photography.
I incorporate my writing skills into my work through the creation of zines, articles, blog entries, multimedia works and projects. Those two worlds of mine collide in my work where I focus on topics such as lifestyle, relationships between people, grief, heartbreak, love, bodies, the land, etc.
I love to work with people, and I love to tell stories with my camera. My mission is to be able to build close relationships with my clients, understand their story, and work together to create something that we can both be proud of.
I also strongly believe in the power of hot cheetos. Astrology, my cat, hot cheetos, and ramen. You can find me on Instagram @hussphotographyy or roaming about Sacramento eating all the ramen I can stand.
